Festival Information

Festival Hours

The festival hours are:
Friday, August 26th, 3pm-11pm
Saturday, August 27th, 10am-11pm
Sunday, August 28th, 10am-6pm

PARKING

The city of DeKalb will be charging a one time fee of $5.00 per vehicle for a weekend parking pass which will be valid for Saturday and Sunday of the festival.  Please post your pass in the driver side windshield if you are leaving and returning to the festival for faster entry.  Parking will be free on Friday.

FREE SHUTTLE BUS

Friday Hours - 2:30pm to approx 11:30pm
Saturday - 9:30am to approx 11:30pm
Sunday - 9:30am to approx 6:30pm

Shuttle Bus Route Details:

Bus to begin at west side (bus turnaround) of Holmes Student Center, stop at corner of 2nd and Lincoln (Eduardo's), left onto 7th and then a right onto Pleasant.  Passenger stop at 11th and Pleasant (stop sign); continuing out to fest and stopping at the shuttle bus drop off at Corn Fest.

For the return, leave airport, west on Pleasant (unloading at 11th) to 7th.  North on 7th, unloading on first at Lincoln Hwy, then return to Holmes Student Center.

Suggested Items to Bring to the Festival

  • Hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen: to protect you on hot, sunny days
  • Fanny pack or backpack: to carry your souvenirs, gifts, and belongings. Please note that all bags are subject to inspection on Festival grounds.
  • Cellular phone: to allow you to connect with friends and family attending the Festival
  • Pen, paper, PDA and/or business cards: to exchange phone numbers with old friends you’ll run into and new friends you’ll meet
  • Schedule of Events: this can be printed by clicking on the “Sound Stage” link or picked up at one of the Festival Information Booths
  • Comfortable pair of shoes: since you’ll probably do lots of walking throughout the day.
  • Comfortable clothes: dress appropriately for the weather
  • Photo camera: to treasure your memories of this year’s Festival.
  • Binoculars: if you’re seated far away from the stage.
  • Cash: to purchase Official Festival merchandise, art and crafts, and tickets for purchasing food and beverages.
  • ATM Card: ATM machines are available on the Festival grounds
  • Small umbrella or rain hat: in case of showers.

 

What NOT to Bring to the Festival

The following items are prohibited at DeKalb Corn Fest:

  • Outside Alcoholic beverages
  • Coolers
  • Outside Beverages
  • Handbills or placing flyers on windshield
  • Motorized vehicles (except for motorized handicapped wheelchairs)
  • Water bottles
  • Skateboards
  • Roller blades
  • Glass bottles
  • Pets (except for service animals)
  • Grills
  • Open flames
  • Firearms
  • Bicycles

 

Items that are Permitted

The following items are permitted at the Festival:

  • Knapsacks, and tote bags: are allowable but are subject to inspection on Festival grounds. Please note that a wide variety of food and beverages are available for purchase at the Festival concession areas
  • Lawn chairs: are allowed. We strongly encourage you to bring lawn chairs and remind you that the areas closest to the stage are first come, first served.
  • Photo cameras: still cameras and camcorders are permitted.

We ask you to respect Mother Nature and pick up your trash as you leave.

Most of all please bring your family and friends and have fun, we truly have something for everyone.
