Bike Rally

Sunday, August 24th, 2008

The CornFest Bike Rally is an event intended to allow people of all ages an opportunity to appreciate the twelve mile paved pathway that links DeKalb with Sycamore.

The rally begins at 10am on Sunday August 24th at Lions Park in DeKalb. Since the rally is not a competition, participants can start at a leisurely pace and ride all the way to Prairie School in Sycamore, its northern most starting point, or go as far as they choose to go.

There is no charge for the event and participants are given a free souvenir shirt on the day of the event if they register in advance. The shirts are first come first served, so register early!

To register, participants should call North Central Cyclery at 815-758-2403 or stop in at its DeKalb store at 534 East Lincoln Highway. North Central Cylery will be at the rally on the day of the event providing repair and tune-up support. In addition, the DeKalb Police Department cycle unit will provide support along the pathway.

The event is sponsored by:
