Meet Dot Dot Dot, an unparalleled band from Chicago with spectacular chemistry that proves they can continually deliver a supercharged show of incredible force which will speak directly to the hearts of everyone. For most independent bands, performing 450 shows, selling 30,000 units, and releasing three records is something of a dream. But for Dot Dot Dot, it's business as usual. And what makes them even more exceptional is that they've been able to do this and more in only four short years—all without record label support.
Dot Dot Dot formed in 2007 when select members of two well-known Chicago-based bands joined forces to create a distinctive and dynamic live and recording act. Familiar to some as finalists on FOX TV's American Idol spin-off show, The Next Great American Band. Adam (vocals/guitar) is charming on record and frantic on stage, full of the spirited presence that makes for an undeniably compelling front man. Rose (guitar) and Little Lisa (bass) are truly accomplished and inspiring players. Michael (keyboards) and Marty (drums) exhibit equal parts precision and abandon. The music might be described as a thrilling union of rock elements cloaked in dance beats with synthy frills.
Radio single, "Stay" (from the release, II), peaked at 67 on the weekly Mediabase Hot AC chart (June 2010), while the record (II) broke the top 100 on the College Music Journal Top 200 (Oct 2010). The captivating songs on 2009's EP titled, I, charted on the College Music Journal Top 200. And a self-titled album from 2007 offers short, accessible pop tunes. Another EP is planned for release in the winter of 2010. Additionally, Dot Dot Dot has penned several songs for national ad campaigns (Party City/Factory Card Outlet, Florida Gators, Kentucky Derby, Jeep, Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution). All of their music is available at dotdotdotonline.com, iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, Napster, and elsewhere.
